In 1873 General Lake edited the 5th ed. of the "Church missionary atlas" and was engaged on another edition at the time of his death (1877). cf. Pref "Presented to His Grace the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos by the Madras committee of the Church missionary society. Madras, 1880."
