A Plea for the [Inspiration and] Canon of Scripture ( Bible) by the Bible Society

Book cover
The British and Foreign Bible Society had been established to promote the Authorized Version, which is the King James Bible. But the BFBS soon found itself wandering far from its original evangelical roots. This upset many other Bible Societies, who perceived the BFBS to not be upholding its original stated goals. The "Plea for the Canon of Scripture" was written to address that point.
