Nomenclatural notes on the genus group names in the order Diptera (Tabanidae, Sciaridae). This short note deals with the nomenclature of some genus group names of the two families Tabanidae and Sciaridae (Diptera) from Australia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Central America. Due to the homonymy, following replacement names are proposed: Cesabasis (nom. nov.) (Tabanidae), Zuhalia (nom. nov.), Mohriga (nom. nov.), and Cesathrix (nom. nov.) (Sciaridae). Necessary new combinations are as follows: Cesabasis postica (Wiedemann,1828) (comb.nov.), Cesabasis anomala (Mackerras & Rageau,1958) (comb.nov.), Cesabasis mellicallosa (Mackerras & Rageau,1958) (comb.nov.), Epidapus (Zuhalia) longicubitalis Mohrig,2004 (comb.nov.), Epidapus (Zuhalia) pellitus Mohrig,2004 (comb.nov.), Epidapus (Zuhalia) primus Mohrig,2004 (comb.nov.), Epidapus (Zuhalia) quinquespinus Mohrig,2004 (comb.nov.), Odontosciara (Mohriga) grandis Mohrig,2003 (comb.nov.), Cesathrix capillosa (Mohrig,2003) (comb.nov.), Cesathrix piliata (Mohrig,2003) (comb.nov.).
