Reports on the Temporary Results of the Lepidopteran Lists of the Asian Continent based upon the Info-system of the Cesa-I Russia. In the first part of the faunal report on the Asian Continent, the preliminary list of the Lepidoptera of Russia is presented, based upon the information system of the Cesa within the Project of Lepidoptera Asia (LAS), and Lepidoptera of Old World (LOW). The comprehensive but preliminary results on the Lepidoptera of the whole Russian Federation are reported here for the first time as the valid scientific names of the species group taxa recorded in the database of the Cesa so far. Totally 5951 species (7668 taxa, together with the subspecies) are listed for this purpose. To each taxon, synonym and homonym names are added in chronological order. For more than 2000 taxa, the larval foodplants are mentioned. Totally 657 patronym names at specific or subspecific level are the selected examples among the valid Russian taxa of the Lepidoptera. Number of the species group taxa and their lists among the Russian Lepidoptera proposed by the authors of various nationalities are given. Totally 1262 species group names established by Russian lepidopterists, are listed. Similarly, 682 species group names proposed by British, 2600 species group names proposed by German, and 423 species group names proposed by French lepidopterists are listed separately. A replacement name Alsophila beljaevi nom. nov. is proposed for Alsophila murinaria Beljaev,1996 not Phalaena murinaria Borkhausen,1794 (synonym of Alsophila aescularia [Denis & Schiffermuller],1775) in the family Geometridae.
