O presente trabalho surgiu da necessidade da racionalização do consumo de água potável tendo como uma das alternativas o reúso de água em residências. O mesmo será desenvolvido em dois aspectos distintos, no primeiro aspecto será analisada a viabilidade econômico-financeira comparativa da implantação do sistema de reúso de água em uma residência previamente planejada com outra já construída, exigindo adaptação no sistema hidráulico. O segundo aspecto é relacionado ao comportamento dos moradores que receberam o sistema de reúso de água em sete residências de três bairros de Cuiabá-MT, sendo abordados temas como a mudança de hábitos, as adaptações ao sistema e as opiniões dos usuários referente ao período de estudo de três anos. Será discutida ainda a metodologia utilizada para o acesso às residências, incluindo as dificuldades encontradas para a adesão dos residentes ao projeto. The current work was carried out from the need of potable water consumption efficacy rationalization, having the water reuse in residences as one of the alternatives. This work will be developed in two distinct aspects: in the first one will be analyzed the comparative financial-economical viability between the application of the water reuse system in a previous planning residence and another one constructed, which demands the adaptation on hydraulic system. The second aspect is related to the residents’ behavior who received the water reuse system in seven residences on three sections of Cuiabá – MT, where subjects such as change habits, the adaptation of the system and the user’s opinions for the study period of three years. It will be also argued the methodology used to access the residences, including difficulties that were found for the residents’ adhesion to the project.
