FBI file on Gerald William Doeden (aka Gino Perente)

Book cover
The FBI file on Gerald William Doeden, a disk jockey from Yuba City, CA. The bureau began an investigation in response to public threats against the state of California in early 1970; asking around, the authorities didn't find him until June 1973, when he turned up associated with the Eastern Farm Workers Association in New York, under the name Gino Perente. Though the file is punctuated with the refrain "ALL INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED IN NEW LEFT EXTREMIST ACTIVITY SHOULD BE DANGEROUS..." the ultimate conclusion of the bureau was that "...he has never been avle to gain the respect of those who have known him and he is considered unstable. It would appear that he is dangerous based upon the fact that he finds it necessary to carry a weapon at all times, but his position of leadership in a revolutionary group does not appear to have any foundation in fact." The record of investigation ends in 1975.
