It is a theatre comedy in five acts written by satirical author Ruzzante. Language: Paduan vernacular. The poor peasant Ruzante fell in love with Fiore ("Fiorina") but he is beaten by his rival Marchioro: the girl then accept to be the wife of Marchioro. So Ruzante decides to kidnap her; Marchioro wants to revenge. The fathers of Ruzante and Fiore, in the end, come to an agreement: Ruzante will marry Fiore and Marchioro will have the sister of Ruzante.
