Gleams of Sunshine
Joseph Horatio Chant (1837-1928) was originally British, but he moved to Canada with his parents in 1840. He was an author and minister for the United Church. In 1864 he attended the Victoria College and entered the ministry. He settled down in Newburg Village for sometime. However, he didn't stay in one place for long. In 1915 he published a collection of poems entitled Gleams of Sunshine.
