A rare extract from Irvine Development Council (IDC) covering the area of Bourtreehill, Dreghorn, Broomlands, Stanecastle and Perceton. Published by IDC in 1971 and containing projections of a futuristic Bourtreehill, elements of which were never realised. Bourtreehill, a medieval estate in Scotland rediscovered by historian A.J.Morton, is Irvine's only surviving ancient woodland.
