This is Text Version of Katha by Giani Sant Singh Ji Maskeen. This Katha was done by Giani Ji after attack by Indian Army on Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and Sri Darbar Sahib in June 1984 (AD). Sri Darbar Sahib (Also Known as Golden Temple) is a holy Sikh Gurudwara and Sri Akal Takhat Sahib is a Symbol of Sikh Sovereignty. Both, Sri Darbar Sahib and Sri Akal Takhat Sahib are situated in one complex, commonly known as Sri Darbar Sahib Complex. In June 1984 Indian army launched an armed attack on Sri Darbar Sahib and Attempted to Destroy Sri Akal Takhat Sahib with Tank Cannon Shots. All this was done to destroy Sikh Sovereignty and suppress peaceful Sikh Struggle (Termed as Dharam Youdh Morcha) to attain Anandpur Sahib Resolution 1973. Many innocent Sikh Pilgrims were killed by Indian Army in this so called opertion, which was code named as Operation Blue Star. This is third holocaust (Ghalughara) under Sikh History. Limited number of Sikh Warriors under the leadership of Sant Jarnail Singh Khasla, Head of Damdami Taksal - More than 300 years old Sikh Organization, fought hard against invaders to defend their faith. Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, Bhai Amrik Singh Ji (President, Sikh Students Federation) and General Subegh Singh ji attained Martyrdom along with other Sikh Warriors.
