A short book created to describe the intonation system of Norwegian music being "bound" to the natural wind instrument, the seljefløyta, or willow flute. It was written by Eivind Groven and was published in 1927, now in the Public Domain. Photo copy and .pdf created by Aindrias Hiort; all associated work fees waived. Background text has not been proofed. This is an extremely valuable resource for those wishing to understand indigenous European music prior to the introduction of Pythagorean tuning in the early Middle Ages and the impetus of what is now equal temperament. An English translation is desperately needed.
