The 5 x 5 cm. woodcuts have been attributed to Jean Cousin (probably the elder) and to Jean Goujon. Mortimer opines that at least two different artists were involved. Cuts on a6v and a8v are mounted over misprinted ill Signatures: a-n Mortimer, R. 16th cent. French Murray, French Praz, M. 17th-cent. imagery
