Veegaland Amusement Park: Enterprise vs Regulation?
EQUATIONS team visited Pallikara under Kunnathunadu Grama Panchayat, Kerala, because of an article published in Madhyam in July 2003 narrating the disputes between the local panchayat and Veegaland Amusement Park about the collection of entertainment tax. After the visit, the Standing Committee Chairperson of Kunnathunadu Grama Panchayat requested EQUATIONS to conduct a study on the impact of Veegaland Amusement Park on the local community and the environment. This is a report of the investigation.
