Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry was an English composer, teacher and historian of music. As a composer he is famous for the choral song "Jerusalem", the coronation hymn "I was glad" and the anthem tune "Repton". Parry also wrote several books about music and music history, and ‘The art of music’ is one his most known literature works. The book is a great read for musicians, students studying music, or anyone interested in music.
