Hermann Wilhelm Vogel was a German photochemist and photographer who made very important contributions to practical color photography. He discovered the way to extend the spectral sensitivity of photographic emulsions to green light by adding dyes. Later Vogel discovered how to extend the sensitivity into the orange. Vogel’s contributions into the science of photography are huge. This book is one his most famous works. This would be a delightful and useful read for anyone interested in photography.
