Grace Abbott was an American social worker who devoted herself to developing child welfare. Abbott wrote several sociological books (“The Child and the State”). She was also responsible for incorporeal social statistics. Abbot worked in researching legislative policy-making and investigated child labor violations in plants and factories all over the United States. This book is one of her most famous and important works.
