He is a very great saint, and his fame has spread far and wide, beyond the limits of the province, as the fame of no other Breton has ever done. Within a year after his canonization, he had a college at Paris, in the Rue Saint Jacques, and there it stood until 1823. During the fifteenth century a chapel was raised to him in the very heart of Rome itself, bearing the inscription : " Diva Yvoni Trecorensi:" and, a little later, a brotherhood of lawyers arose in the same city, calling themselves by his name, and devoting their time and Ewen, Euzen, or Yves Heloury was born October 7, 1253, of the noble lady Dame Azou du Quinquiz and her husband, Tanaik Heloury de Kervarzin, who, it is said, accompanied Pierre de Dreux, Duke of Brittany, to the Seventh Crusade.
