Report of the voyage made by an English adventurer and explorer Sir Humphrey Gilbert in 1583. With a small fleet of 5 vessels Gilbert, accompanied by other gentlemen assisting him in that action, set off to Newfoundland, intending to plant Christian inhabitants in a land yet not in the actual possession of any Christian prince.
