The Man from Snowy River
A poem by Australian bush poet, journalist and author, Andrew Barton "Banjo" Paterson, tells a story of a valuable horse which escapes and the princely sum offered by its owner for its safe return. Paterson maintained the poem was an invention, based upon the cleaning up of wild horses in his district.
