A Farewell To Arms
This story is about one man Frederic Henry, who serves in the Italian military as an ambulance driver, during World War I. He has a roommate, Rinaldi, who is a surgeon and very funny, and frankly, an alcoholic. He is courting a young English nurse, Catherine Barkley, who had lost a childhood love in the war, and is grieving his loss.
