Computer tablet users can now travel to the darker side of London as Charles Dickens knew it, with an interactive novel-cum-app launched on Friday by the Museum of London that is the next best thing to having your own time machine.
The graphic novel, a creative combination of text, graphics and narration by "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" actor Mark Strong, transports the reader back to 1862 with an overlay on Google maps, depicting the streets as they were in the Victorian era.

An editor and friend, Charles Kochman, said Robinson was different from most artists in the field because he worked on every kind of comic genre, from political cartoons to theater illustrations.
"Jerry brought a realism to comics — and a sense of humor," said Kochman, his editor at Abrams Comic Arts, which last year published a book called "Jerry Robinson: Ambassador of Comics."

According to an email from Bock that his publisher, Random House, shared with The Associated Press, Colbert died in her sleep early Thursday. She was born in 1970.

Walter Isaacson's biography of the late Apple co-founder came in at No. 1 on Amazon's list of the bestselling books of 2011, and clocked in at No. 3 on the Kindle charts.

The Florida Republican has signed with Sentinel, a conservative imprint of Penguin Group (USA), for a memoir tentatively scheduled for Fall 2012. Sentinel announced Monday that the book was currently untitled.
